Young Maleficent Halloween Costume DIY!
Young Maleficent Halloween DIY Costume!
I've loved watching Maleficent since I was a kid, growing up and loving the country. It has large horns or wings that make it a perfect suit. This beautiful dress was made in 2015.
This Disney inspired costume is perfect for a Halloween or fan conference. Draw a Disney inspired Maleficent costume for the movie Maleficent Live Action.
This angel of darkness didn't always have a dark side, the wings, horns and features of fairy tales are clear for DIY.
It's a great costume for teens or teenagers. My daughter was perfect for this part, in fact she chose this dress idea.
Here is the movie Maleficent.
Composed of feathered wings, curly horns, wooden beads, pointed ears, and natural clothing.
Necessary accessories. (member links)
2 foam keyboardsbrown feathers
polyplastic
Funny chestnut foam
coffee felt
Metal headband
Big brown cloth
hot knife
Craft FloraCraft® . Fun® 2" handmade foam blocks
Styrofoam Cutter Plus:
Styrofoam smooth surface:
Handmade paint / brush
S and brown spray paint
1/4" elastic
A pair of scissors
Start by pulling a 2 inch foam egg from the main branch. That depends on the size of the branch.
Start with paper and place it on the baby's head and trim as needed. Once you find the size you want, use a heat cutter to cut the foam.
Just start blocking.
Then start drilling the sides with rounded edges.
Repeat the carving process for the second branch, just do the opposite.
After carving, use Smooth Finish and apply a thin layer of twigs with your fingers.
Leave to dry completely.
Then spray paint and then apply brown mist. Make it into pieces of cardboard.
Then cut a 2 x 6 inch piece of brown fabric, fold one end about 1/4 inch and tape to a warm place.
Then attach the warm feeling to the branches but leave half of the scarf hanging from the branches.
Then cut off the feeling when inserting and hot glue it on the headband. (Note: do not use plastic cloth, it will melt with non-plastic cloth)
Put the tiara on your head and indicate where to place the branches. Then remove the headband and attach the branches.
This is for scarves. Most of the symbolic part of the Maleficent movie is over.
Let's build the glorious ones.
For me (adult size) you need:
Wallpaper based on 2 foams8 fun brown foam sheets
400 brown feathers
polyplastic
flexible
Sticky Guns
Hot knife / wood burner with glued X-Act sheet
Use the pencil to draw the main pattern of the lines. it is very strong Then cut the foam with a hot knife. You have to use a hot knife, only the x-act doesn't cut the inner foam properly enough, it will be a mess.
Then grind, pass over the rest of the appliance, repeat the cutting process.
2 fun brown sticky hot foam on top of the foam core... then cut off the excess foam with scissors. I added more foam and glued it to the foam board. That way I would maximize my lather. Then flip and repeat.
Leave the edges about 4 inches white, like the branches on the edges of the wings.
Then glue 100 feathers to each of the 4 sections. I knew the feathers wouldn't be enough to fill the space, so I divided them into groups.
Cut the hook as much as possible...some of them were very long.
Then arrange the wings in small groups.
Cover the top thick branches.
Then use molded plastic from Polly Plastics.
I love these things. I use that a lot. Simply heat the water in a glass bowl until it boils for a few minutes. Then throw the balls. They will become pure, they will melt, they will be assimilated.
Then remove the plastic with a spoon. Plastic can be hot, but not as hot as water... so be careful. Then wrap the plastic around the board to make those big, beautiful, horny rounded edges. Leave to dry completely.
Then drill the holes in the wings and put the ribbon through them.
Tie it with lace like a corset.
Then add some elastic bands on both sides from top to bottom, leaving enough linen for it to fit snugly on your arms.
To complete the look, look for a simple green or natural dress. Ours is water but it still works. At the grocery store we found a large brown cloth cut into a V to fit the head. Attached to the belt and adorned with a natural necklace.
Add a bracelet and necklace with wooden beads... maybe a pocket near the thigh and bottom. This Young Maleficent dress is perfect. The shadow it casts is also impressive.
The arms are only shown to give a sense of proportion.
Add a bright red lipstick to complete the look.
