Shabby Chic Rustic Metal Pumpkins DIY
DIY shabby chic rustic metal pumpkin
Create your own rustic pumpkin for the perfect fall decor. I saw something like the Hobby Lobby and knew I could recreate it with some of the stuff I already had. It adds a fun and stylish element to our fall holiday season. How I love it!
It's easy enough to do in an hour or two. The bigger it gets, the easier it will be to make ... so cut from there. Are they not wonderful !?
You will need: (with member link)
Metal band ( here or here or here )
Use a drill to make a hole in the center of the branches.
Look for a round metal around the stick ... so that it swells slightly at the sides. Lightly screw on the metal and insert it slightly into the stick. Keep loose for the shape of parts.
Use a washing machine so that the screw does not slip through the metal hole.
The next step is a bit difficult and I did not get a picture of the process, sorry! Wrap the low metal band around the stick to create a loop, like the middle.
The metal is smooth and easy to fold when needed. I had an extra piece of metal tape that I tied to make a sheet. Then screw with the washing machine.
So use a hot glue gun and small stems ... and the E6000 too.
Apply E6000 glue in the center of the stem.
Then fill the outer edges with hot glue. The hot glue will help set it up right away and the E6000 will give it lasting strength.
Fasten it with screws and metal tape.
Repeat as many pumpkins as you want! This is beautiful and incredibly chic and more attractive than you can make yourself!
They are suitable for September and November!
