Rustic Wood Slice Cupcake Stand DIY

DIY Rustic Wooden Cupcake Stand

This rustic wooden cupcake stand is an easy project that takes less than 10 minutes to complete. It's perfect for any themed party and is a great way to display cupcakes, treats, or other fun accessories. I like to create useful and quick things, it defines these two frameworks. Can't wait to use it at a party show soon - stay tuned!
I love the rustic look of wood because all of my house repairs are done with good old pine boards. There is so much character in the forest. That said, feel free to add decorations or even paint the background to match the party theme. I received my shipments from Plaid , all opinions are my own.

Material required:

Large piece of wood (about 9 inches in diameter)
Small piece of wood (about 7 inches in diameter)
hot glue gun
Rubber E6000
6" wooden pin (1" diameter)
Begin by removing the packaging from the wood pieces and cutting the dowel to six inches in length.
Use a tape measure or ruler to determine approximately where the center of each of the pieces of wood is. Simply measure the right side and mark the center. Then measure the other direction and mark the center. Then connect the 2 points to find the center.
Then place a bead of E6000 glue in the center of the wooden face of the dowel.
Then immediately apply hot glue around the E6000 and press it against the center of the large woodcut. Hot glue sticks right away, but E6000 sticks forever.
Repeat the same for the other side of the wooden dowel.
Then place a piece of wood on top as close to the center as possible.
Let the cake sit and harden for about 4 hours...even though it looks firm enough to use right away!
Great for placing expensive cupcakes! It can hold 6 at the bottom and up to 3 at the top. And I'm going to put it on top with an aspen ribbon, that's one thing! Great for any show!

Enjoy and share!
