Resin Pour Geode Glitter Canvas DIY

DIY Glitter Geode Resin Canvas

Pour a geode resin over the canvas and add shine to the perfect expression of the wall. This beautiful lost resin canvas looks like a geode, with a cracked and exposed layer of shining crystals. Create unique murals using geode casting techniques and lots of bright shine.

My favorite color is blue. I love all shades of blue! As a result, most of the designs I create are blue. What is your favorite color? What color will your geode rain?

GEODE RESIN REQUIRED STOCK FOR GIT:

Mixing glasses, mixing sticks, disposable gloves, disposable work surface, small mixing glasses

It is a nice surface for working stretched fabric, but the fabric can fall under the weight of the resin. Find a plate or box that will fit on the back of the fabric and hold its shape while you work with the resin.

Step 1 - Mix the resin

Start reading the resin mixing instructions. Although I have used it many times in the past, I have read the instructions over and over again. Mix one part resin and one part hardener in a mixing bowl.

Set a timer for 2 minutes and mix gently, scraping the sides and peeling regularly. Then transfer the resin to a second bowl and use a new blender to mix for another minute.

Step 2 - Add color

Then pour the resin into smaller cups. Add a few drops of clear dye and opaque white pigment.

Leave a little light resin in the mixing bowl.

Step 3: Ham

Start shaping the resin into a small circle of light. This is the center of the geode and looks very clear.

Then wrap the colored resin rings around the clean middle ring.

Continue adding resin rings, don’t worry about covering all parts of the fabric.

Then add the glitter in small resin glasses. Also, shine on the light hoops.

Use gloves to lift and bend the fabric, spread more resin and cover the fabric.

It does not bend too much, so it does not distort the shape of the geode.

Now that the bright, translucent colors have filled the canvas, it looks very pretty.
But it’s not done yet! Mix another glass of resin, as before, in a 2-step process. Pour the light resin mixture into small glasses and add the opaque pigment color instead of the translucent dye.

Then pour the colored resin into the rings over the translucent resin. It adds great depth and natural geode look. Sprinkle the sequins in individual loops around the canvas, leaving some areas filled with sequins and other empty areas.

Finish with all the resin, then drain around the rings with a white resin shake. I like the look of this. Maybe put it aside and stop there!

Or take it a step further and give it a more natural finish. Use a high heat tool to release the bubbles that have formed and to smudge the edges of the white resin.

Then let the handkerchief dry. Make sure it is placed on a flat surface, as the resin will self-level as it dries and cures.

When the fabric is dry, sand the grains that have formed on the bottom of the fabric and hang them so that everyone can enjoy them. Sequins glow like crystals in the light.

That's all! Please like, anchor and share!
