Joyful Anthropologie Inspired Pom-Pom Pillow!
Inspired by the pom-pom pillow Jolly Anthropology!
The pom pom pillow brings me so much joy! I love the funky festive colors. I love textures and layers. Even sparks!
Create a fun anthropology-inspired pom-pom in this fun and easy tutorial. Use brightly colored vinyl, colorful decorations and pompoms to sparkle!
Nothing brings me as much joy as a pom pom.
Brief history: When I was about 16 years old, I attended a youth meeting at Camp Williams (a nearby military base). My best friend Kirsten and I were excited to try the military mood, so we went to the Savers (convenience store) and bought some military camouflage pants.
The pants were very manly and we decided to make them. We took them to my house and started decorating them. From the knee to the bottom of the skirt, we added neon yellow triangular panels to make it look like pants.
On top of that, we added a green pom-pom to the bottom skirt. Let's say we stand out more in our group and the military likes it!
Isn't she beautiful !? Now look where I came up with the idea for this pillow! I was excited when a large group of bloggers asked me to be part of Pillow Party 2019 . (Do not worry, Pillow Party 2021 is just around the corner!)
I bought the pom pom pads here at Amazon . (joint contact)
Fabri Take Lighthouse
I created this design in Photoshop and introduced it into the Cricut Design Space. I added the picture 3 times and then erased the outline so I could have a different color for each letter. Right-click to save, for personal use only.
Align the letters and then click with EasyPress 2 .
Cool the vinyl and then remove the lid.
Then I collected all the pom-poms and sweets I could get. I also have these shiny gold sequins.
I used Fabri-Tac to glue the edges of the pompoms to the pillow. This thing is amazing!
Simply add a line of glue and press the liner into place. Seal very quickly and eliminate all sewing tension from the project! Hurray!
In Joyful Anthropology, I constantly add fragments and finally syllables to the strategic points of the letters, trying to mimic the stained glass window. If I had more power, I would use a needle and thread to add more. But I am very happy with the result and the little effort required!
I let it sit for a few hours to make sure the glue works, and then put it on the pillow. I love how it turned out! Wondering what inspires you to go hiking in Manhattan?
In October 2019 I was on a wonderful holiday with my 2 boyfriend in the sand for social media in Turks and Caicos (read more here ).
On the way back we stopped in New York for a long time. I was in town for the first time, so we packed up at the airport and took a taxi to Manhattan. He had so much fun and gave us a little vacation to coincide with our tropical vacation.
It was raining and cold, but that did not stop us from seeing as much as possible in a jiffy. My favorite or most inspiring thing is the anthropology program. Beware:

Vinyl cut in red, yellow and pink. The best part of this project was that I used what I had and got nothing but pillowcases.

They had a second window with the word "Person" written on it ... It was beautiful too, but Joy melted my heart.
