Island in the Sun Reflective Iron-On Vinyl Running Shirt DIY
DIY island with metallic shiny vinyl running t-shirt
I love the song "Island in the Sun" by Weather. ADVERTISEMENT. I remember driving in Salt Lake City in 2002 when I heard that song on the radio.
Isn't it funny how music takes you in time and space? It's been popular for years, so why not make it my theme t-shirt theme? This t-shirt is made of vinyl on reflective headlights to reflect headlights when walking in the dark.
Yes, I ran again in the first half of August. I walked with my friend or two friends for about 2 years, then we decided to do something a little better and started running together.
It was great and I feel like I'm getting stronger and stronger! If you're running in the dark, a shiny shirt or coat is essential...as I said at 5:30am. Let's get one now!

How to capture images
- And you can customize your own theme based on your favorite songs!First click on the Shape tool in the left sidebar, select circle and make a big circle. Measures up to 5-6 inches.
Then add another shape. I want to create an island atmosphere under the sun, so another circle is for the sun and another for the island. I brought palm trees and beach waves. Put them in the best place.
Select all layers except the first big circle and "weld" it together.
Then select the matching layer and circle and click the "Cut" button. This creates 4 layers.
Find out how to apply visible layers to circles with cropped shapes. Then delete the other layers.
Now add text and select the font you want.
Then use the crooked text feature to circle the text. Add some places after the "Sun" to create a specific area below.
So I added a little * star to mark the start and end of the sentence. Then adjust it around the logo you created.
Select the logo and text and "weld" it together.
Then change it to the size you want to crop. I chose the 9 inch diameter on the back of the racing jersey.
Copy the image, select the material and place the metal on the vinyl surface on the cutting board and press the cut button.
Once the cutting is complete, remove the vinyl from the oven and scrape off any metal residue. This reflective material has an additional layer that does not need to be removed. It dissolves easily during heating.
You can see part of the palm tree, actually I've removed that extra layer, which is beautiful but tricky... so don't worry.
Sit on the EasyPress mat and place the metal on your shirt.
Then click on the suggested settings found here.
If you put your logo on the front of your shirt, do it now. Then let the shirt cool completely. Once cool, peel off the back paper... This extra layer will shave off immediately.
Dress is ready! This is a cool white vinyl that shines when it shines. Here's the back of the shirt:
And the logo on the front of the shirt is here.
The perfect running t-shirt for a beginner like me! I don't have any plans to win any prizes or set any records, but I'm feeling good about being a little healthy! Running t-shirts are also a great handmade gift for runners.
