How to Make Hairpin Leg Wedding Cake Table
How to make a wedding cake table with recycled wooden sticks!
Create a wonderful table using recycled wood and DIY hair legs! This versatile table can be used for almost anything. Is there a wedding in the future? This is the perfect wedding cake table. Perfect for appetizers on the balcony or in the living room with a large plant. What will you use your table for?
Hair legs are the perfect detail to make this table a quick and easy DIY project! I am glad to be able to work with Semi Exact on this interesting project. Let's begin!
Semi Exact will help you create unique furniture. Choose the length and variety of leg you want, then add the top. It 's wonderfully simple.
For this wedding cake table, I chose 4 black stiletto legs that are 40 inches high . They are the tallest ever and are incredibly tall! I like the height and strength of three legs. For the round table you can escape with only 3 legs, you decide!
The legs of the dagger are heavy and strong. The cake table would not be tilted without a bump that is too big and uncomfortable.
I like the top of the recycled wood. We just finished building a recycled wooden fence (my beautiful background) and we still have a lot of recycled wood. It was fun to make a small carousel out of the same wood as the fence to remember our favorite May works.
I'm sure I will post more about my fence later and you will see that many parts of it use wallpapers from here to the end. 😉
Where to buy high-heeled shoes
Handmade dagger legs are a favorite of all dagger legs ... and you know what? It is also almost accurate ! Order everywhere table legs, sofas, tables, cake tables, sofa beds, furniture, etc. With the best quality!
The legs were well packed and well wrapped, and the box was safe and hygienic. (Thanks UPS!) Screws, rubber feet, instructions included ... and a vinyl label! He made it into my water bottle.
The legs can be easily disassembled and mounted immediately if the end table does not fit the machine. Perfect for a garden or outdoor wedding, it creates a rustic atmosphere.
Supplies needed for a wedding cake with stalks:
recycled wood
Saw table
chainsaw (optional)
wood glue
exercise
Screws (complete with attached legs)
gloves (optional)
Sanding discs (optional)
sandpaper (optional)
Step 1: Assemble your recycled wood worksheet
Start by collecting recycled wood. I used 2x4, 4x4 and some fence boards. Then cut each piece of wood about 1 inch longer than the desired finished length.
My desk is 15 inches wide, so each table is cut to 16 inches.
We used our own chainsaw, but even a table saw would work.
Step two: reduce the height of the panels
Now all the boards should be cut to the same height. Adjust the table saw guide so that they are all the same, less than 4 inches high. Then cut each board in the same way.
Step 3: Align the tabs
Now align the tabs as you wish. Change the width of the boards next to each other, as well as the color of the wood.
Prepare pieces of wood and glue. Also work on a non-stick surface. We used marble tiles.
Step 4: Glue the tabs together
Apply a large amount of glue to each edge of the board and press together. The adhesive will penetrate all the small cracks in the board, so it is important to apply the adhesive on both sides of the board before placing it.
Once the last board is in the stack, secure it firmly with the clamps. Then let the glue dry and harden overnight.
Step 5: Smoothing and pouring
Once the adhesive has dried and hardened, it is time to sand and shape it. We used the palm to cross over the top surface, making it homogeneous and smooth.
A grinder or even sandpaper can also be used.
Then use a sandpaper with a sanding disc to soften the thick glue that has penetrated through the cracks.
Then draw a circle at the top of the table. We tracked down the garden vase because it was the perfect size. The rope and pencil can be used as a compass.
The table looks good with a square shape, but we take it to the next level by rolling it. If you do not have the technical skills for it, keep it clean and it will still look great!
Once you have glued together the rows of recycled wood planks, it is time to cut a circle. Start by cutting the corners with a table saw. Then move along the table, cutting small pieces in order to get a circle.
Use a sander to smooth the edges when you are done. Watch the accelerated video of the process, which lasted about 5 minutes:
Step 6: Pointed legs
Now turn the wooden table over and place the nails on it. Put the shaft legs in place.
Simply!
Sit down now and enjoy!
Step 7: Resin counters
To round off a counter, spray Enfirotex Clear High Gloss Resin. This will really highlight the variety of colors in the wood and make it shine! The project goes from gorgeous to gorgeous!
Just follow the instructions and gently spray the product on the surface. I applied two coats of spray resin.
See how the bright colors of recycled wood stand out! I like flaws, joints and unique pieces of wood.
It can now be served at a wedding with a wonderful cake on top! Perfect for birthday cakes!
I love the elegance of the table and its impressive height! It is perfect for standing up and enjoying a drink or fruit plate. Perfect for a summer patio.
I have a 6 inch cake holder, which is very small. I know this table would look nice with a 12 inch cake on it! Who wants to use it in a wedding?
Create a great plant stand in the living room. I like recycled wood! Can you say?
It's also easy to make this cake filling with Cricut Maker! Simply make a 1/4 inch and place the word image in the middle, then connect the shapes and cut them out of cardboard. Then stick hot on a toothpick! Simple and cute!
This is!
I hope you like it as much as I do!
