Step 1: Iron and wait for the car

The magic of photography is that it requires little or no effort. Resize the design to the size you want ... My design is 7 inches tall. Rotate the image so that it passes over the model.

Step 1: Cutting the Iron-on The magic of the images, is that there is little or no effort involved. Just size the designs to the desired size...mine are 7 inches tall. Mirror the image so it cuts the design in reverse.

Click the Create button and type the iron correction. Apply the glossy / polished vinyl surface to the carpet. Repeat the cutting process for each color. Cricut Design Space tells you which color comes next.

Click the Make button and insert the iron-on. Place the iron-on vinyl on the mat with the shiny/slick surface facing down. Repeat the cutting process for each color. Cricut Design Space will let you know which color comes next.

Then cut the vinyl as much as possible around the cutting line to store the product.

Then trim down the vinyl as close as you can to the cut line to save product.

Then remove the excess vinyl from the cut design.

Then weed the excess vinyl from the cut out designs.

Repeat this process for each level. There are 3 levels to each logo.

Repeat this same process for each of the layers. There are 3 layers for each crest.

Group them together to see what it will look like.

Stack them up together to see how they will look.

Step 2: Black hair flag

Then take 4 pieces of black handkerchief. This part measures 9 x 12 inches. Fold in half and place the ruler on the bottom edge. Hold straight at the open edge and make the ruler a 1.5 inch angle to the center of the fold.

Step 2: Black Felt Buntings Then get 4 pieces of black felt. These pieces measure 9x12 inches. Fold it in half and place the ruler at the bottom edge. Place it right on the open ended corners and angle the ruler up 1.5 inches to the folded center.

Then use the rotary cutter to cut the crack from the bottom edge.

Then use a rotary cutter to cut the notch out of the bottom edge.

Repeat for all 4 barley.

Felt is a great stiff surface for buntings and banners

Step 3: Activate EasyPress

Now place the black banner on the easypress rug and place the bottom layer of the banner ... gray ... on the banner.

Step 3: EasyPress Iron-on Now place the black felt bunting on the EasyPress mat and place the bottom layer of the crest...the gray one...on the bunting.

Then hold the first layer with EasyPress for just 15 seconds. Piston temperature should feel 280 সেল C *

Then press with the EasyPress for just 15 seconds on the first layer. Pressing felt temperatures should be 280*

Allow the transfer to cool and then remove the backing layer.

Let the iron-on cool down and then peel off the carrier sheet.

Then add the next layer from the top to the previously printed piece.

Then add the next layer of the crest on top of the previously pressed iron-on.

Press again for 15 seconds and allow to cool completely. (I alternate each comb and when I finish four, the first one cools down.)

Press again for 15 seconds and let it cool down completely. (I rotate through each crest and when I've done all 4, the first has cooled.)

As before, remove the baking paper and add the next layer of iron-covered vinyl.

Same as before, remove the carrier sheet and add the next layer of iron on vinyl.

Press again for 15 seconds. If 15 does not feel sticky enough, do it a little longer ... but each layer heats up more often and we do not want to overdo it.

Press again for 15 seconds. If 15 doesn't feel like it's adhering enough, do it a little longer...but it's heating each layer repeatedly and we don't want to over do it.

The last layer is called the weapon. Put the name in the right place and use the backing paper of the previous layer to cover everything. You do not want to touch the piece directly from the ezipress.

Final layer is the name of the crest. Place the name on the proper space and use a carrier sheet from a previous layer to cover the entire thing. You don't want the EasyPress to touch the iron-on directly.

Press for 30 seconds and then let the piece cool completely for the last time.

Now fold and sew the top edge of the banner ... or put hot glue.

Now fold over the top edge of the bunting and sew it across...or hot glue it.

Then pass the rope through the vorand. I checked the table ranking at Hogwarts ... it turned out to be Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and then Gryffindor.

Then thread the cording through the folded over edge. I looked up which order the tables are set up in Hogwarts...and it goes Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and then Gryffindor.

Add some fringe to the bottom of the rope and hang!

Add some tassels on the ends of the cord and hang it up!

It's perfect for the big banquet hall! I love how easy it is to make and how cute it is!

I read a Harry Potter book with my two oldest children about 8 years ago. This means that my child, now 11 years old, has never heard or read an entire book. We decided that this school year would be the end of all the books for him. To kick off the events, we will be celebrating the Butter Beer and Harry Potter festival . Happy sixth grade!
